Working with Alyssa was incredible! She has a warmth about her that makes it easy to feel comfortable with her and open up quickly. Alyssa is a great listener and always gave me time to explain my challenges without judgment or jumping to incorrect conclusions. She gave great advice and helped me to gain clarity on which direction to go next in tackling my goals/challenges. I love how I felt during my sessions with her. In the past I have had therapists who rushed to give me advice without taking their time to be curious and make sure they were understanding my situation correctly, with Alyssa I always felt seen heard and understood and that she was open and curious enough to truly understand my situation. 100% would recommend her coaching services to friends and family!

Before working with Alyssa I felt really lost. I’ve had 2 kids in the last 2 years and have had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to work on and steps to get there. I had heard about coaching before but I get nervous to open up to others. However I knew Alyssa is a kind warm person and was excited to hear about the opportunity to work with her. Alyssa has a knack for listening, hearing and truly understanding what you’re trying to say. There were so many times I felt I was just expressing my feelings and she was able to help put my thoughts and desires into action that has helped transform my life. One example of this is my desire to be more active, she helped me see how my daily life activities can really make a difference in how I view being physically active and the role that can play in my overall health. I feel like the coaching experience helped me learn how to be kinder to myself and give myself more credit. I feel healthier and my relationship with my spouse is better because I’ve gotten better at communicating my needs and at problem solving. There are times during the day that are more difficult for my family and I, Alyssa helped me get to the root of the problem by walking me through the details of those portions of my day, breaking them down, and brainstorming ways to create calm. She taught me ways to ground myself in those hard moments as well so that I could be more confident and calm. It has made a difference in my relationship with my husband and children. I can’t recommend Alyssa enough. She is such an incredible person and is born for the work that’s she does. She can help you take the next steps to come closer to the person you wish to be.

Working with Alyssa was amazing and incredible. She was very professional and helped me feel comfortable right away. She helped me uncover some of my root problems and helped me feel worthy to take time for myself as a mom of littles. I am grateful for her calm, yet firm voice in helping me be who I truly want to be. I highly recommend working with Alyssa!

Working with Alyssa Mcbride has been such a great opportunity! During our first session together, I felt Alyssa's deep passion for nurse coaching and her commitment to helping me grow. She has a very calming presence, and I never felt as though I had to hold back or be nervous that I was sharing to much. Alyssa created a space for me to be open, and allowed me to grow freely. I started our sessions with a lot of anxiety related to my future but she was able to help me work through the challenges I was facing, and create a realistic approach to face the future confidently. At the end of each session, I left feeling inspired, and motivated to take action. Her methods are realistic, sustainable, and life changing. I highly recommend Alyssa to anyone seeking growth or change in their health and wellness!

Alyssa is awesome! I have been considering therapy for years and thought that coaching might be a good route to try. I have had a lot of issues with my family and I didn't know where to turn. Alyssa helped me to address some of those issues and I feel like it has really helped. She helped me come up with ways to handle my anxiety and helped me find ways to fill my cup and prioritize myself. She helped me to come up with affirmations that I can use daily. She recommended box breathing and that has helped so many times when life gets a little too stressful. Alyssa helped me to really think about why I feel the way that I do and explore what is behind my emotions. There are a lot of things that I am still working on, but Alyssa helped me to know how to have difficult conversations with family members with a 'compliment sandwich' and to know that I am not responsible for their reactions. I am only responsible for my reactions. Since I started coaching I have been more aware of my emotions and trying to be present in the moment with my daughter.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to dig deep and find ways that I can improve my life and attitude toward my challenges. I would 100% recommend Alyssa to others, she is so easy to open up to and relate to. I loved getting the chance to meet with her for the time that I did. She really cares about those she works with.

Alyssa is amazing at what she does! Working with her, I was able to release things I didn’t know how to release and she helped give me exercises that I can do on my own to continue to heal and grow. It never felt awkward and I was so grateful to her for giving me a safe space to cry and talk about whatever I needed to. One thing she was really great at was helping me find what I needed help with. Even when I went in not knowing what I needed help with, she helped me find it while also helping me feel safe and heard. She’s the best of the best! If you are feeling stuck, lost, need help finding and loving yourself again, Alyssa is your girl!!

...I was in a bad mental health space and wanting to try therapy but worried about the cost. And so this felt like an answer to prayers in a way and I felt the need to jump on that opportunity. Alyssa provided several techniques, reference to self help podcasts, social media accounts that are dedicated to self love and mental health, as well as an empathetic listening ear. She assured me multiple times that our therapy sessions were a judgement free zone. It is one thing to say that, but I truly felt that from her, which allowed me to open up about some things I have buried within me. Going back to techniques she used, we started out or ended often with guided meditation, breathing exercises and positive affirmations. She then Proceeded to ask me about something that had gone well this week, which was a nice ice breaker, followed by something that I struggled with this week. Alyssa provided such a safe space to share some of my darkest moments and thoughts without judgment. Outside of my husband, im not sure that I've felt comfortable at that level to share so many parts of myself with someone. Or at least parts of myself that I've kept hidden from others. Her empathy, willingness to sit and ponder on things I shared (instead of hurry and fill awkward silences with the first thing that came to her head) and her ability to ask thoughtful questions really brought me to a place that made me feel so safe and considered. That experience was therapeutic for me, especially our last session. I remember being pretty fearful of sharing the experience about my baby and keeping her safe... And not only did she challenge me in that feeling, but allowed me to say those thoughts out loud finally so I could be free of them... Having those sessions with Alyssa, opened up my eyes to how beneficial therapy can be, and gave me the final to push to invest in a therapist for myself. That is an invaluable gift. I really believe that it will help my life for the better. Wow, I would 100% recommend the work Alyssa is doing. I follow her social media account and she has made it her mission to use what tools and ideas she has to uplift other women. I’ve seen 4 therapists before, but Alyssa was the person I connected with most in the short amount of time we had together. I think because she REALLY listened and asked a lot of great follow up questions to get to the root of what was really bothering me or on my mind. And she provided a safe space to talk about anything. The initial assessment she did with me was really helpful also and allowed me to tap into all the areas of my life that I experience challenges and figure out the root of some of mental health challenges. But also set the precedent that nothing was off the table to talk about.
